re: Hotel Pamps

surely someone as big as thompsons would try to sort these problems, its their reputation on the line and if the customers are'nt happy they wont re-book !! i'll give my most honest and most hard hitting report (if need be) on monday 22 jan when im back, in the mean time i'll wait to see if these reports are true or false, "innocent until proven guilty" Very Happy

We had hell on with the hotel, but Our Thompson rep Kat did sort most things out the manager did not want to know, but she asked us to let Thompsons know our problems on return, which we have, she also said that this was the first year they had booked so many rooms at the hotel. So if you do have problems just get Kat on the case she is good.

then again it cant be that bad otherwise the good decent regulars of this site would'nt keep posting their possative and genuine views about the resort Booze

re: Hotel Pamps

staying in pamp hotel now, not as bad as people make out, don't accept room keys until you are happy with the rooms you have been allocated. they tried to make us share but we refused and got our allocated rooms. as for the snow, not great getting worse many icy patches. hope it snows for whoever is coming next week.

re: Hotel Pamps

Good advice re not accepting room keys until happy (think I would've been too scared at the time in case I ended up roomless) but good advice all the same!

Then again, "technically", I didn't "accept" my proper room key at Christmas....

When we checked in, they couldn't find any record of us, or a proper room key so we ended up with a spare yale type key. So where was the official one? Well it turned up with the nice man and his wife who tried to get in the room in the wee small hours. ...

Well it turned up with the nice man and his wife who tried to get in the room in the wee small hours. But I didn't actually get the key of them either...I had to (in my jim-james for goodness sake!!) take it from the BIG BOUNCER who THEN returned (with said lovely family) to "check" that I was supposed to be in the room Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation

Oh yes, there's that overbooking again

I got the right key in the end though Smile Confused

They still had no record of us at the end of the week when we went to collect our passports...maybe if they put all the "invisibale" people, in the rooms with the "real" people, it will solve the overbooking problems!!! Smile

re: Hotel Pamps

Sorry to say this hotel gets slated every year and overbooking is common place. As a regular to Pamps I would not consider it.
