superb review i have stayed there three times and you have it spot on you should hotel report for a living as you tell it as it is well done 10 out of 10

A tremendous report, absolutely accurate. We stayed there for our first visit to Bulgaria in 2004. Having tried to book the best hotel in Borovets we were apalled. It was November and we were on B & B and were so glad we hadn't booked half board. Even the breakfast was terrible. As for the sheets, they actually scratched your skin when you moved about in bed. Never again! There is so much more accommodation available in the resort centre now that there really isn't any need to stay there. In ...

I forgot to mention also, your advised to not drink the local water by the travel companies although they say it's safe. We noted a brown colouring soon after turning on the taps occasionally too. Bottle water is freely available and even from the hotel shop was only 1 or 2 lev for 2 litres (mind you that was the local stuff not the brand name bottled water, but that seemed absolutely fine.)
