Gail, it was upgraded in the summer. We are staying there too and look forward to what they have done. It always used to be just the short cut to the pub!re: Hotel perelik

Thanks. the link was useful, but it would be good to have some independent views - what is the food like? What is the standard of accommodation? The discussion section indicates that the standards vary a lot in Bulgaria.

The Perelik is right in the centre of the resort, with all the bars, restaurants etc, within easy reach. In fact in the evenings, you need never go outside of any building in order to reach most of the facilities!Only downside is if your room is above one of the bars, because people do party hard!

we have stayed there twice before, and are staying again this year! I heard they have up graded it, so that will be good. You wont get a better hotel for being in the centre of things, its great!
I think there are 5/6 pubs and about 4 restaurants in the complex it self, which is linked to the mourgavets hotel. Swimming pool, sauna, medical centre, and massage area are all in the centre too.
Rooms are ok, if a little basic, but that should have been addressed with the revamp. ...
