How many people travel alone for skiing?

Was wondering how many go skiing on their own?

I have a trip planned for a weekend in a couple of weeks, but the person I am going with says she is not sure if she will be able to get time off work now, so rather than wasting the flight booked if it came to it was thinking of going on my own - but never having done it solo before, was wondering how common this is?

Any advice from the forumites welcome Smile

Hey its easy you always meet people there and if your taking lessons then you will meet people in the class, if not the bars. Im travelling alone this year and i went alone last year. Am meeting up with people i have met the last couple times i have been but even if i wasn't i wouldn't hesitate to go.

Have fun always

Hi Paul,
Met up with dbut 10 years ago when out in Borovet with daughter. Only catch up with him when skiing, we have skied Borovets, Bansko and Canada x 3. Having met some amazing people, stag parties with some and wedding up in Scotland with Nicola & Graeme. We have a picture of our group in Christo's White Majic.
What week are you considering going & what resort we can easily pick you up from Bobby's Bar or White Majic in Borovets.
Hope you get out there soon.

S.P. Very Happy

Most have done it before. My partner wouldn't come twelve years I managed to get him there this year with a few guy we have met previous ly 1 st head to bobby bar and you will meet mew mates in a instant. kas and Bobby will make sure of that. You going to meet the mates that you thought you would never have met. When you heading over there

This is such a weird question.

Only one person can travel alone!

If there is more than one in your group, then you are not travelling alone.

Hope this helps.

re: How many people travel alone for skiing?

If you had to choose a holiday to go alone then surely skiing would be it. Once you are in a class, you are not alone. Twice i've been to Borovets alone for one reason or another and still had a great time meeting loads of people. As it happens one of the times that I went alone, there were a party of about 100 people from a singles club there at the same time, I just tagged along with them
