I'm skiing for a week in January (well, attempting to!) We are half board, so will only need to buy lunch, drinks (lots of!!), souveniers and maybe a trip (skidoo etc), would would be an approx amount of UK £ that I would need to take/exchange (just a rough guestimate)

in my opinion £200 will go a long way in terms of food and drink. In fact you will hardly spend that. Factor in the children and clothes etc maybe a little more.

My husband and I were in borovets for I week in feb and ate out every night and had a good few drinks. During the day we only had a snack and a soft drink then when we finished skiing for the day we would have a couple of alcoholic beverages before getting showered and changed for the evening session. £400 was more than enough for us both for the week.
I and 6 Lads Went last year. We spent roughly £300 each. We ate like kings every night, Dranks like fish every night, and nearly every night we had to give drinks away cos there was too much too drink with 2 for 1 on happy hour, and believe me we are not light weights either. That even stretched us as far as a few ladies of the night as well. All that said you can spend to your budget in Borovets your money goeas a long way.
