I am wonder how much would one need approx for a week skiing.. i going in three weeks and even though my dinner is included in my package each night i am sure there are nights we will want to eat else where besides our hotel.. Any ideas??
You can go for less than £100 eat in the hotel at breafast and dinner, a small snack during the day and have a drink after skiing or spend £1000, have a snack in the hotel instead of dinner, a skin full or beer and then a meal late on when you get the munchies.
Take UK money (or euros) with you and change if needed, its better to have to much rather than run out. You can then put it back into the bank when you come home.
We spent around £350 - £400 in Boro last year between 2 of us - we had breakfast at the hotel each day, and dinner 5 nights out of 7. Ate out the other 2 nights, had a snack-type lunch (toasted sandwich, chips, drink, etc) and a few drinks every night (not a skinful - just a few to round the day off).
We took some levs with us, then used the cash machines. For what it costs to take money out, I'd rather do this than have a weeks worth of spending money floating around in ...

Aye as jo says a bring a bob or 2 to get you started and in case of emergencies. Withdraw from bank machines as you need it. Credit card may be usefull also. There are many around the resorts
Thanks Guys I was thinking of changing over 400 euro as i need to order it at the bank this week so they will have it in two weeks time for me.. i say that should get me through... if i need more i just take it out there...
We were out in Boro 3 weeks ago, we ate breakfast at the hotel and had dinner there 6 times. We eat out one night and had kebabs etc on other nights. We had lunch out everyday and had a barrel full of beer at least every night. We spent approx £150 per person and had a great night every night.
Most bars have happy hours regular with buy one get one free. Take sterling if poss and change in the resort at the change booths as you need it we never had any problems there ...

I will have euros with me and i am presuming they accept euros over there as i am from ireland and we dont use the sterling down south... i changing 400 euro over so i say that will be plenty hopefully... thanks for your advice though...
take ur euros with u . u will get a better rate out there but go to the actual bank in the resort. u get about 10% more for your money than the exchange booths
don't order from the bank, exchange in dublin airport always has plenty levs and the rate is the same, take your euros with you and change in a bank out there (take crisp notes only)..
compared to home you'll feel like you couldn't give away the money as it's soooo cheap..
Hi Michelle - what about local travel agents, do they have lev in stock? Forgive me, not sure how easy it is to get hold of them in Ireland. I know I've been to travel agents in England and they hold them in stock. I'd only change about 50 - 100 Euro to see you over your first couple of days, as the exchange rate you'll get in Bulgaria will be far better than you'll get at home.
