Hello first time to Boro for a couple of beginners and was just wondering how on earth you can ski Martinovi baraki 1 without ending up on Cherveno zname (which is shut anyway)
seems a bit odd that a blue suddenly turns into a black, and doesn't seem to be a way back up?
We are due to go Borovets this Saturday. Could you please confirm what runs ARE open for our arrival. Have spoken to our tour operator and they have advised we would loose all money if we wanted to transfer to a different resort.
The only runs open at the moment are the Rila slopes (green) and Yastrebets (red) - that's yer lot until there is a decent snowfall
Popangelov is closed until the 16th Feb for some competition.
I would advise that you get good holiday insurance that covers piste closure. Before you leave to come home get a statement (through your holiday rep) from Borosports confirming the piste closures. We did this in 2010 and were able to claim back about £400 between 3 of us due to the rubbish ...

Unless you are very lucky and the forecasts are wrong (possible) there is no significant snow forecast in the short term. I am afraid that this may be what you will have to do to salvage something.
We came back on Sat 1st Feb. we got the Martinovi Baraki ski lift from the Rila and skied Baraki 1 then skis off and walked the Sitnyakovo path across Cherveno, Rila and Iglika and skied down the Rotata

Top man! thanks for that. At what point are you able to pop your skis back on? do you have to wal all the way to start of rotata or stary near top of Rile and down the green bit? thanks
