A hurricane will hit Bulgaria this weekend. The freezing wind will be the most severe along the Black Sea coast where airports and ports will be closed. The Siberian cyclone will drastically influence the temperatures which will drop down to minus 18C. Record-breaking lows of minus 28 C are expected on Moussala peak, TV-MET meteorologist Mincho Praznikov warned. The strong northerly winds will rage in this country till Monday.
"Stay away of the mountains and cancel all ski vacations if such have been planned," sources from the Mountain Rescue Service warned.
In the Balkan, the fogs will be dense, the winds will be freezing and the snow-drifts will be waist-deep.
"The polar cold will chase away the flu; serious colds will take its place," doctors warned.
The weather will warm up on Tuesday and the long cherished spring will arrive on March 8.
No winds in Sofia, the sky is clear and at the moment no signs of hurricane here. I will up-date if there is change.
