In Borovets, if somebody was to provide a skidoo service between the top of the four man chair, and the top of the non working single chairlift, would anybody else pay for it ???

Surely there must be a couple of enterprising locals with skidoos to give it a try. I would have thought that there would be a very good income to be made doing it.

phil, have a word with the 'rila ski' bloke who sits behind the desk to the left of the bar in the Rila hotel, if you can persuade him there is money in it hell sort it for youre: I'd pay.......
Thanks Fraser and Sarah,I have no idea how long it would take to do the trip, not long I would have thought. If they could get 2 people on the back, or a sledge behind the skidoo. they could earn a few quid. eg 3 lev (£1) per person, say 6 people an hour and 6 hours a day works out at 108 lev (approx £36) per day. not a bad local wage. I know there are the fuel and running costs, but even if it had to be 5 lev I'd pay.

Apparently I heard there is one from the bottom to the top but it cost 100 Levs for 1 trip.I'd pay for the other service though, long as it was cheap enough.

Hi Skeedo,Sort of, if the skidoo dropped you off at the single chair top station, you've got a choice of runs to use.It's a short ski to what is marked as the blue run. Truth be known, the little bit of red down to it is very easy. Something else, if not many people are using them because they can't get up there, the red runs would be fantastic

I've not been to Borovets before (going 31st of this month) and I'm getting increasingly concerned by the number of people complaining about the single person lift being out. Is this going to severly compromise the skiing available (advanced intermediate) or are there still plenty of good long runs to try?
I'm fully behind the idea of getting a skidoo from one lift to the other. As you say, should ensure some fantastic quiet runs down. That's got to be worth a few quid of ...

Yeah there are loads of alternative runs for me to take the family down. I suppose it's just me being an old romantic, and wanting to take the missus down the very first run I did. Another thing is, this will be my third time in Borovets, and I was psyching myself up to do a couple of those reds. The first time I cut across a proper slope, and saw how steep they are from the top, I nearly had kittens !!!
