I would really like some new boots that dont kill my shins, and my heels dont slop around!!!! any advice on where to go for them and what I should expect to pay would be appreciated
Hi Mel,
if you are anywhere near the Midlands, then Lockwoods of Leamington are the best that I know.
Professional technicians and super afterservice -remoulded my boots , 10 months after purchase.
£250 - £300 will be enough for a great pair of heat moulded boots.
You will get lots of replies to this as people always recommend where they got their's from - so here is my 10p worth.
Bought mine from Snow & Rock in Bristol last year. Rossignol which were heat-fitted for me and are pure luxury. Had Lange before for 8 years and though they were good, but my new ones are 100% better. Paid £145 for them.
I was amazed too Mel. I only went there with a friend to find her some walking boots and they were in the Sale. I actually chose a more expensive pair but the guy measured my feet, asked what skill level I was and then advised on the ones I bought. Very helpful and didn't try and sell me the more expensive ones. They were also available in most sizes.
Here i go.
Justr bought a pair of Head s9's discontinued booits with 90 Flex rating, now replaced by new boot wi graphic change!
Was £220 reduced to £99 and had the heat fitted etc inc in the price.
Seven Sports Leeds.
Worth a day out!
Im getting all excited now, I can get a train to Leeds and Bristol quite easily from Stoke-on-Trent, are those shops in waling distance of train stations
Bristol Snow & Rock shop is at Filton so about 4 miles from Temple Meads main station. Lots of busses though, it's at the far end of Gloucester Road behind the American Golf Discount shop.
