I have tried to remain positive but even I am now starting to thin that when I go to Bovorets on Dec 30th for 7 days there will not be any snow. I have searched the internet to get as many forecasts as possible but to no luck........
Does anyone know any good ski insurance where I can claim for piste closure or even a cancellation. I get one holiday a year and this one could well be dry and dusty !
Please can one of you informative skiiers help me out!
There are a lot of insurance companies out there that will cover you for piste closure/no snow etc. However, as with all these things, the only way to get a good deal is to spend some time searching on the internet. Be warned, any likely refunds for piste closure/ no snow etc is always VERY minimal and in the region of about £20/day and even then they will have the usual small print terms and conditions, so you will still be losing a large chunk of what you have paid for the holiday.
Do they not offer an insurance that if we get there are the whole week there is no snow then when we get back we can claim the holiday cost or something like that!
I remember 2 years ago in Pamps the Pistes were closed on the first day we got a form from the rep showing that there were Piste closures and needed this to make a claim. We received £20 per day each for this. Not alot when you consider the cost of the holiday but it went a good way to paying for the drinks and food for the day.
Last year we lost 2 days in Bansko due to lift closure....unfortunately the insurance company refused to pay up as the reason was HIGH WINDS and not lack of snow....ohh humm!
I know it will cover the drinks and the food, but Im not actually going to get drunk.......I would goto Ibiza if I wanted that, I just want some goos clean skiing!!!!
Oh well, just have to keep the fingers crossed, I just cant beleive it, i went skiing in Canada last year and they have already had 5 1/2 feet of the white stuff!!!!!
