re: Iglika Palace 6th Feb

We're staying in the Iglika from Saturday for a week. Stayed in Boro last year at another hotel further out, and booked this one purely for it's location and it was cheap!! Glad to hear that the hotel will be OK. Thanks

4 of us flying from east mids sat. Can't wait.....

re: Iglika Palace 6th Feb

We arrived at the Iglika on 23rd Jan all excited, as the hotel looked really nice. The smile soon fell to our faces when we opened the door to our room! I have to say that it was about as basic as you could get! The bed clothes were torn and shabby, there was only a bed, a small wardrobe, and two bedside tables in the room. There was not even a coat hook on the wall or a single chair ( where are you supposed to hang your coats after a day skiing?) The bathroom was disgusting, it was three ...
There was not even a coat hook on the wall or a single chair ( where are you supposed to hang your coats after a day skiing?) The bathroom was disgusting, it was three foot square, with the shower directly by the toilet, there was no shower tray or curtain, so when you had a shower the water went over the whole bathroom! We asked reception if there was an upgrade available and was told that we would have to wait until morning, so we went to the bar for a drink in mind to make the best of the night.......we ordered two vodka's with coke which we did not even finish as they were like water! We decided to go back to our room and see if we could sleep, BIG mistake! There was loud disco music booming up under our room until 3am. We were not happy! The following day however we were told that there was an upgraded room available from 12 pm we Paid an extra £60 for this, but for what we got I would have paid double. The rooms to the right side of the hotel are three times the size of the basic on the left, they have huge bathrooms with a bath as well as a shower, a hairdrier, bathrobes, a balcony AND coat hangers on the wall Very Happy The had nice carpets instead of a bare floor a dressing table with seat and a sofa. No music was ever heard in these rooms, it was nice and peaceful. i would fully recomend staying at this hotel if you are staying in the upgraded side. I would certainly stay again, it's in a great location and the food is not bad either. Just remeber to check before you leave if you have upgraded, for £10 extra per night per room it's more than worth it.

Have a good holiday.

P.S There is no kettle in the hotel rooms, so take a travel kettle.

re: Iglika Palace 6th Feb

you should all try the chalet Iskar. Opposite the gondola and food provided, basic but great. Clean and fantastic for all. Family of 8 going out Sat. Returning after first time last year. Definately worth a look. Holiday lettings website, property 57639. (and no I'm not on the payroll) the only problem we had was the showers were not all that hot!

re: Iglika Palace 6th Feb

Hi Linda, Did stay in a double or single? I thought only the singles have wet rooms? Luckily I stayed in the newer wing on the right. Didn't realise the newer 'Superior Suites' are that much better. Agree about the food, not bad, I actually looked forward to dinner.
