re: Iglika Palace

I would highly recommend the Iglika. Stayed there last week and, even though we weren't in a superior room, our room was comfortable and did the job just fine. Our room didn't have a bath, but a swim and a trip to the two saunas, steam room and ice bath in the evening was a more than suitable replacement.

The staff were helpful, the hotel was clean and warm, and the bars were nice and comfy to sit in during the evening if you didn't fancy venturing out - and not expensive either.

I would stay there again any day - and much much better than the Rila where we stayed last year. You should have no worries about it.

Have a great time!

re: Iglika Palace

i'm skiing, i'm also teaching my wife to ski...and have two boys going into ski kindergarden.

whilst only 36, i think i'm too old to learn to board (my back plays up a bit)...all i know is that you end up badly buised for the first week.

re: Iglika Palace

Depends where you go. Beer ranges from 2-3lvs for a large one, and only .50 less for a small (so you might as well, thankfully, have a large). Hot choclate 2-3lvs A pizza costs about 7lvs for a large one, a small steak in Katy's about 12lv50. Up the gondola or on the mountain, however, be prepared to pay 5lvs for a hot chocolate.

It's all quite reasonable.

re: Iglika Palace

Pool was fine - nowhere near as cold as the Rila. But take flip flops - the floor gets really slippery.
