Where is the best place to buy them? They seem to be so expensive. I live in the north west so can get to Manchester, also Castleford Xscape. And whilst I am asking would any boarders reccomend wrist guards? I have been boarding 4 times now hurt myself 3 times, so trying to protect as much as possible
Me and husband bought red impact shorts, mine last years half price, looked them up on web, his new from e-bay half price, they are so much more comfy than previous ones we wore, red are like surf shorts with removable padding. I never wear wrist guards, hope to keep falling over my clenched fists, husband always wears them, a history of skateboard acidents, depends how you fall, might be worth wearing.
I have always used wrist guards - been boarding 12 times now - and glad I had them on occasions, and have never had a wrist injury wearing them. Impact shorts I have been wearing for less time, but have to say they were well worth the money, not only for protection from falling, but keeping your bum war when you sit on cold lifts !! I bought my in Bulgaria a few years ago now, I'm sure you could get them there if they are expensive here.
try looking at skiwear4less website. I bought mine in Borovets last year, saved a bit of cash but not a lot. the ones on the above website I feel are better.
defo buy wrist protectors, as helen mentioned. They are a good thing to have. I often just wear them on top of some thin wollen gloves. Impact shorts are something I have never owned and been bording for 4years.. Just double up on the old pants front!!!!!!!
