It has not been officially opened yet.
I have seen some tracks down it so it looks like some people have given it a go.
But from having walked it in the summer it is very rocky and without enough snow you would probably spoil your skis.
As a friend said " I would not want to do it on my own skis"

Great run, if you look at the long range forecast over the next couple of week it looks like another 4ft plus snow is due which will allow the Masala to open. The forecast is identical on a number of sites.re: Is Masala pathway open in boro yet?
I like the sound of that forecast, but I can't see it anywhere, where are you seeing this? would be perfect timing as I'm out on 31st and would love to ski the Masala path this year...re: Is Masala pathway open in boro yet?

Who ever has not done the run it's excellent. I think it's about 6 miles. It's gentle in parts but pretty quick in others and can be like dodgers sometimes. If anyone is out there week 26th of Jan we can all fly done it at the end of the day when it's quiet and go for it.Cheers Boris.

The Mussala Path to Mussala Hut is around 9,5 km from Samokov Hotel, so the skirun is maybe 7,5 to 8 km.And it is true it needs a lot of snow and care. The turns in the higher parts in the Pink fortest followed by the first bridge, then some smaller parts and then the big bright highway with long turns and the last meters to Bobbys.
Great walks and fantastic scenery at Mussala Hut, just one hour walking from Markudjik rund
