Hi, we are going to Borovets on Wednesday and just wondered if the restaurants and bars were open next week?Thanks

Hi Suzanne,Not all of them are open but there are plenty that are: Happy Duck, Golden Chicken, Green King, Sunny's pizza etc etc. If not, everything down here in Samokov is open!

Target is one of our favourites as is the Old House - both are very good value for money with nice areas to eat and very good food. Old House is a bit more traditional Bulgarian. You should also pop into the K Bar (run by an English guy) called Ken. Most of the ex-pats go in here every day to catch up with the local news / gossip and it's a nice way to meet people that live here / have holiday homes. He does a small menu of food and his Jerk Chicken is probably our favourite dish out ...

just back from Borovets today and there are a few places open as Kas mentioned.we were at Bonitas italian and the hen house which were great as well as the green king in borovets.
we had a good week with some snow and then temps and sun up to about 20 degrees.

it was quite quiet during the week but a few more people about at the weekend. nothink like ski season thoughre: Is anything open October half term?
Hi Mark,You should have given us a call / email when you were over and we could have met up for a drink. Ken's place is really near the centre...
Do you know where the Police Station is? If yes, imagine you are standing with your back to the station, cross the road so you are next to the Museum and then keep walking past the museum across the grass and it is on the road there - basically the road runs parallel to the road that the Police station is on.
