Is there still snow in April?

Hello guys!
i really want to go skiing in bulgaria , but my only avalible
time is in the middle of April like 9-16.

Does anyone knows is there still snow on those dates? Is there other country that there will be snow on these dates?

You might well be ok in Bansko but Pamporovo is normally shut by then and I think Bororvets is as well.

my friend was there last year in April and it was great, also the ski instructors from Pamps are planning on going for a week in April once the season is over - the bulgarians will still be going so cannot see the lifts being shut

At the moment Paul you have plenty of snow. But the temperatures at this time of year and going into April can rise to 15-20 .Hope it lasts for you.

I get the impression that there will still be snow in Bansko in July this year! Mega snow dumps every week at the moment.

Truth is though you pays your money and take your chance.

My advise given the amount of snow this year is to gamble. Stop messing around and get Bansko booked. What's the worst that could happen? You end up on a sun holiday instead - pack your sun cream!

hhmmmm.... What to do!!

We're booked with balkan so i might give them a call on monday and see if i can swap to bansko.

could anyone recommend a cheap appartments in bansko for 3 adults+cheap place to rent ski gear.
It's the first time for all of us skiing so lessons is important too.

His lift pass is until 30 April so the season should not end before then. I am off to Bansko from 9-16 April and expect to be able to board whilst I'm there (at least on the higher slopes).
