Hi Nigel/JayneI hope u had a good time in Pamporovo!! I'm going on Sunday 16th January with a group of friends can't wait! I was in Pamporovo last year but this year we're staying in the hotel Panorama as far as I can remember that hotel is right on the ski slopes. Can you tell me if that is true? Was the snow good? I've been keeping an eye on the snow forecast and although it says there is approx. 35cm of snow I just wanted to know for sure!!

wen we were there the snow was good from 29th dec onwards they were transfering people from boro to pamps as there was no snow in boro
we stayed in hotel bor they said it was 3 * (my arse springs to mind)
the bulgarians will try to rip u off
the slopes are good at the top but wen u get to the bottom its like a skating rink no one did any thing about it all week was a death trap near the lift station 2
we loved the skiing but as for the rest of the holiday we would never go there ...

hope this dont put you off but i like to tell the truth THE RANCH is the best bar/cafe on the bottom of the slopes for food and dtink we went all week can recomend the garlic spuds have a great holiday and pls ask if u want to know anything else that goes for any one as well

ehat is the beginners ares like and are there lots of easy runs?taking 2 people who havent skied at all.

Hi steveour lass and me have been having lessons at castleford indoor slopes so we had an instructor for half a day then dumped him
the people who have never skied b4 had plenty of good snow and slope area to practice on
by the middle of the week they were at the top skiing all the way down they all seemed to have a good time skiing as b4 we loved the skiing but the rest was naff

Thanks very much Nigel!Just as long as the snow and hotel are good then I think we'll be OK. I have everyone warned that its not going to be a 5* hotel and the food isn't great. Thats about all I can do!!

Am going on the 22nd-staying at hotel pamporova which seemingly is a 5* pad? Have never skied before so not sure what to expect? Whats your advice for having making the most of it? I was under the impression that pamporova was the best place to go and learn to ski and that the locals were fine folk? Your comments are welcomedre: JUST GOT BACK FROM PAMPS
The Hotel Pamporovo is a 5* by Bulgarian standards not buy ours! It is quite a new hotel and is perfectly nice. But if you expect 5 star like you would get here you are in for a shock! Pamporovo is ideal for beginners I myself learnt there. The people are very freindly and no one has ever tried to rip me off in the 4 times I have been. Go with an open mind do not expect everything to be shiny and fantastic and you will have a blast.
