Stan,
I have a suspicion you may regret what you have stated.
Such arrogant immature comments will not go down well.
Balkan Holidays are a very large company with powerful contacts in the right places.
Your fun could start at the pasport control and continue for a whole week....
Having just spoken to an immigration official, a Balkan Rep can produce a printed copy of your comments posted here to them and you can be stopped upon your arrival into the country.
I got back from Bansko last Sunday, I would say the place is a bit rough and ready. If you want a pretty little Austrian village book for Austria, but as I have told everyone that I met you can't beat it for value for money.
Bansko is no different from any other part of Bulgaria or Eastern Europe, the locals see people like us as rich holiday makers that are prime to be ripped off. Keep your wits about you, if you stay away from the English type pubs and the hotels the town is very cheap, I ...

Bansko is no different from any other part of Bulgaria or Eastern Europe, the locals see people like us as rich holiday makers that are prime to be ripped off. Keep your wits about you, if you stay away from the English type pubs and the hotels the town is very cheap, I was drinking for 45-50p a pint and a meal for two with drinks for about £12-£15.
Bansko has it failings but for value for money it hard to beat and the skiing was alright.
Snowy norman, that explains your defence of bansko to my experience.
However as a property owner you may be in bother, when people start avoiding bansko in pursuit of more established resorts.
Hope you dont have all your eggs in one basket !!!!
My experience is a true account, PP's seems to be similar. And althought you have a vested interest in the place, please dont respond degrading my account.
felt very simlar last year, we got to the gondlas first morning took over an hour to get to the top, after that was there by 8.30 to beat the crowds, we went as a couple and found most of the bars dead with little apres ski we tend to go out early not to clubs, as we like to ski without too much of a hang over found we were going for a meal then picking up and wine and beer and drinking back at the appartment. felt very simlar last year, we got to the gondlas first morning took over an hour to get to the top, after that was there by 8.30 to beat the crowds, we went as a couple and found most of the bars dead with little apres ski we tend to go out early not to clubs, as we like to ski without too much of a hang over found we were going for a meal then picking up and wine and beer and drinking back at the appartment. Pamps went with my daughter aged 10 at the time always loads of people in the bars early doors had a fab time there apres ski brilliant. shame is pamps slopes not so good if they could get the ski area right in pamps and keep it as it is would be fantastic. on reading most of the reports on bansko this year the prices seem to have gone up big time one thing it had going for it very cheap, I know it will still be cheap in comparison to the alpes but sometimes people will cut there loses and move there.
As you have said dread to think how they will cope in a few years and with prices rising will it carry on atracting people in the same way.
