This is all very negative is'nt it ! I think we can all agree that many of those who have gone to Bansko have been a mite disappointed but there have also been others who have said they have had a great time so those still to go don't lose heart !! I for one have only ever been to Borovets - we bought there having looked @ Bansko and hubby said that there was too much developement going on too soon. It makes me quite sad because my experiences of Bulgaria are so positive - I love the place and just want other people to !!!

We also got back from Bansko today. We had a great holiday. Just worked out we only spent £514 over the week, ate out every night and there were 5 of us! Can't beet it for value. We did notice the prices had gone up from 2 years ago and yes, lots of development. There were queues for the gondola in the morning but the Ulen people were doing their best on the busiest week of the season. Two years ago we went at easter and it was much quieterand it probably will be in two weeks when all the schools are not on half term. The skiing was great and the apartment we rented was clean and comfortable. All in all a fantastic ski holiday for the price.

it seems to me the people who have seem Bansko a few years ago like me...and how it was..and have been just recently have noticed big change .. the guys who have been for first time think its great...i know ...i prefer it how it was....have just finished writing my letter of complaint to Balkan ..after things going disasterly wrong...like we couldnt get room we booked , 5 month prevoius because it was not built and still being built...that was just the start..im not going in to all that...my hubby never complains about anything ....but he wrote the letter...fraid we wont be going back to Bansko have to agree with Donkey walloper...
