Well that's the first one over - and what a fabulous holiday.
We spent a week in the most fabulous skiing resort I have ever been to, and without doubt the best snow conditions anyone could ever wish for. They runs were even better than the ones we experienced in America and the Immaculately groomed pistes just went on and on forever.
Tomorrow sees the start of the World Cup in Sestriere so maybe we timed it just right as the slopes were uncrowded and we never once had to queue ...

We mainly skied the reds and black all over the Milky Way but there are also some great cruising blues for early intermediates. Angie (as usual) skied the pants off me and by Friday my legs were shot to pieces, so if ever I needed a reason to give up smoking then this was it - so that's it for me, no more fags and that's a promise!
Prices were pretty steep, about 15 Euros each for a snack on the slopes and 5 Euros for a small bottle of beer.
Try telling me now that Pamporovo is dear!
So now it's 3 long weeks before we go to Pamporovo - a World apart from what we have just experienced, but we are both looking forward to it as much as ever and knowhere will ever beat the buzz we get from good old Pamps. Snow reports are looking great for the resort so all I can say is - ROLL ON 6th FEB!
To be honest Funski we were so knackered in the evenings that we didn't go out much. I agree Charlie, Apres Ski was fairly low key but we did find a great wine bar called Santa Cruz which we used most evenings after skiing before our evening meal. A bottle of really nice Chardonnay cost us 16 Euros which I thought pretty reasonable considering where we were.
Loads of free nibbles as well
But certainly there was very little in the way of fun bars or rocking clubs that we saw.
Forgot to add - Marco (former head instructor in Pamporovo) was also with us for the week. Has he changed? No not at all. Still drinks red wine at the breakfast table
Hi Pete - we might see you out in Pamps on the 6th, we aint booked yet (after the New Year experience LOL) but Im sure the snow will continue and fall on Pamps if it does we will see you on the slopes.
