Just back again!

Skied Borovets for the second time this year (first time 2nd week of Jan), certainly the snow was better in January than of late, but I expected that being the middle of March and the warmer temps etc. Getting very slushy and earthy at the lower slopes but still we had a great time. If I had gone elsewhere in Europe I could not have had two weeks away for the price i paid in Bulgaria, indeed the total would have covered one week in France as we did last year!
Ohh I looked for dog dirt! ...

Ohh I looked for dog dirt! (reports before I left), Sorry didnt see any!
I looked for fighting late at night, Sorry didnt see any!
I looked for "Rowdy youths", apart from people enjoying themselves (especially in Francos!) (sorry NIC!) Sorry again, didnt see a problem!
All I saw was people out trying skiing on a budget, especially enjoying the apres ski.
if you are an acomplished skier and just "fancy trying the Eastern Block" having the expectations of France or Austria, well dont do it, stick to what you can afford or know. Leave the resorts in Bulgaria to those who know what to expect and live with it!
Remember, we are visiting their country, give them the respect they deserve by adjusting expectations and joining in with their culture and you will enjoy as we did and countless others!
Logging off soon to book for 2006!

re: Just back again!

well said!

I did see (and hear about) a reasonable amount of fighting in my week in Boro, shame really as the place is quite chilled so I don't see why it can start so easily.
The cheap booze I guess ... Sad

Well thanks very much Ian W!

Only kidding, although my group might have been a littlew loud and a little topless, it was all good sensible fun, with absolutely no homo erotic undertones.
Honest.
