Just back from Bansko... any questions?

I have just returned from my second week of skiing in bansko this year, all this stuff about the snow is bull, as always the bansko piste cleaners are busting there guts to make the pistes skiiable and they are doing an exceedingly good job. The snow cannons are terrific and i havent noticed any change compared to my other 7 years of skiing in bansko/bulgaria. I dont know if any of you hardened old nuts remember the season 5 years ago when there was no snow in this period and then winter ...

I don't know of any public place to go for a swim or a sauna, however many of the hotels will be more than happy to let you use their facilities for a small price

the gondola is up toward the top of the town and walking down i would say about a 5/10 minute walk, without skis on!!!

probably best to walk down to the town on the road to avoid the numerous boulders, low hanging rooves and trees!

Snow wise the begginer slopes are fine, i cant say i skiied them much but as a warm up and down session a couple of times. However they are jam packed so lets hope your friend is good at split second decisions!!! The ski road down into bansko is glorious as ever albeit a little icy. So overall it's not to bleak.
