Nice little report, Blade!

I am sure it must have been asked or assumed, but I cannot see anywhere if you have mentioned the total cost is for one person or two. I presume also that £400 for F&D was a bit of a guess or did you pay that for 'all-inclusive'. In addition, most people I know book the whole package, so ski hire would need to be included for comparison.

Sorry to put you out, but could you give an overall price for two people inc. flights, with all ski hire, lift passes and ...

Sorry to put you out, but could you give an overall price for two people inc. flights, with all ski hire, lift passes and instruction and state if the accommodation was HB or S/C to enable a true comparison?

Thanks in advance.

2 people
Flights
Insurance
Apartment (S/C)
Food & drink
Lift Passes
Ski and pole Hire
4 hours 1-2-1 private instruction

When I first went boarding I went to Soldeu, as far I was concerned it was brilliant and I would have happily gone there for years. Luckily my mates wanted to explore other places. I do visit some favourites again and again but most resorts in Europe can be visited without spending a fortune. I've done Courchevel fully catered several times for only a fraction more than the above price.

Just come back from my 2nd visit to Borovets. Never again. The place has changed a lot since last March. I felt we were being ripped off everywhere we went. Even the kids when they went to lunch with their ski groups, were being overcharged, just by a lev or 2 but it all mounts up. Ski instructor did a home video of the group and charged 40 lev for it. Watched it at home and it was absolute rubbish. Rila Hotel was ok again. Food good, rooms warm & clean, but Reception staff unhelpful and ...

Watched it at home and it was absolute rubbish. Rila Hotel was ok again. Food good, rooms warm & clean, but Reception staff unhelpful and unfriendly. Had a fire in the hotel while we were there, no fire alarm, hotel was evacuated by staff knocking on room doors (all 600+ of them). Hotel management said next day that it was just a test. The smoke and flames billowing out of the 9th floor looked very really to everyone who witnessed it!!!!! So sorry all you Bulgarian fanatics, I'm off to the States next year!!

Variety is the spice.....

B4L's outlook is same as mine. I'll go back if I've enjoyed it but also get a buzz from discovering new places too. It's not one place vs another for me - just different experiences and views.

Glad you enjoyed La Thuile King Blade. WE went last year and had a fantastic time. Would definitely go again and highly recommend it. Really looking forward to Bansko in under two weeks now tho.
