Premier resort does not mean the most money spent!I would have thought we all agree there is a balance between improving infrastructure, building better hotels etc. versus preserving the beauty of the place, both culturally and environmenally..
Believe me I don't want Hotels stacked on top of each other, massive lift queues, ridiculous prices and a Mcdonald's in town.
After all if I wanted that I could go to France!!!

Hope the bulgarian business men understand what you say, but when I see what is happening on the bulgarian seaside, I am scared

Peopele needs money and work, mountains needs trees!!!

but belive me - Borovets is a winter resort
(Nice restaurants,night clubs, night ski, ski shows, ski jumping area, cross-country and biatlon track etc.) Bansko is a winter village buddy 
(cows, horses, village people, old style pubs, animal dirts on the streets etc.).
Maybe you have a property there and thats you are big fan of Bansko but look from the 1989 there is no big investment till this year. See you in 2007/09. Maybe you will see Alberto Tomba there

Quite happy if they never spent a single Lev on Pamporovo.I love it for what it is, not for what some gold-digger wants to make it.

Sorry Borovetsboy,I have been to all three resorts recently and Borovets comes way behind Bansko. All the lifts in Bansko are brand new (E 30m recently spent) and the skiing is generally better (partly because of the runs and partly because it is a village and thus less accomodation in the area so no queues on the lifts).
The only thing Borovets wins on is nightlife

No no no...... I cant agree for the slopes. Belive me I am better skier then you and don't tell me that the Bansko slopes are better.
Borovets is on one hour from the capital Sofia buddy!!! You can sking in Maliovitsa or Vitosha as well and its only for 1 hour you are everywhere.
The lifts in Bansko are new but the position of Borovest is the best. Rila mountain is much bigger then Pirin.... SORRY but I have no time to get you a full ...

I can only assume that the money spent there was just to make it a better accessed, quiet resort for you. A return will be expected on the investment and that means more bums on lifts. Well just look at what Fraser started! Really children calm down, calm down! The sad truth is you cant stop change, I worry about Pamporovo I like it just the way it is and only wish I had discovered it years ago. My worry now is that in 10 years time it will have grown beyond all reason and will lose it's charm lets just pray is does not happen. And as for someone one stating I am a better skier than you well please.... come on what a silly statement even if true it is childish. Ps I am a ...
