PASSES/KIT IN BOROVETS

Can anyone recommend the best(cheapest place to get lift passes and boards/boots etc in Boro'. I've heard that some places charge twice as much as when you pre-book(whci apparently we can't cos we are going AOA.

A lift pass will cost you 281 Lev for 6 days in resort. That's the set price

re: PASSES/KIT IN BOROVETS

I rented boots/sticks/skies at ski school in hotel " U planinskih spasateley" (Snazhnaya Rala it was called before), which is located in front of Medical Centre.
I made research before that and found the cheapest price there: 10 lev - ordinary skies, 15 lev - carvs. You may get cheaper, if you rent for several days.

re: PASSES/KIT IN BOROVETS

HI
VICKY WHO WORKS/OWNS THE HAPPY DUCK SAYS THE PASS IN RESORT IS £100.00 AND KIT IS £10.00 PER DAY. I DONT KNOW IF YOU CAN JUST BOOK DIRECT WITH A TRAVEL AGENT FOR THESE ALONE, LET ME KNOW IF YOU FIND OUT AS I DON'T LIKE BEING RIPPED OFF.

This is the Borosport website - Borosport run the lifts etc so it's the definitive on lift passes etc. Yes you can get tuition and skis etc when you get to resort, but it's worth also finding out if you can rent direct from them before you go

i went aoa last year to boro

got put in the olymp. from the olymp's own ski depot, I got a package including skis, boots, and a 6 day lift pass, for about 300 lev (maybe a touch more, i can't remember, but it was definately much cheapness).

I didn't have to wait in the massive queue for the passes at the gondola station, and it was by far the best way to do things (easiest, not to mention cheapest!)

I went with inghams, and the first thing they do when you get to the hotel is try and put the scares up you about pass prices, rental prices etc. in the resort, in an effort to get you to sign up with their deals. These deals were exceptionally overpriced! they wanted much more than 280 lev for a pass and the rental deals were equally ridiculous.

so, do yoursleves a favour, set aside the first morning to get yourselves the best deal (and if you can find one inclusive of a lift pass you're about there).

And if you're in the olymp, you can do no wrong with the rental guy there.

have a good holiday

Chris.

email me if you want with any questions

re: PASSES/KIT IN BOROVETS

have just booked complete ski package with Valentino at Albena ski school for 12th Feb for £89 per person. This is an excellent price. Our tour operator (Nielson) who are really expensive wanted £170 per person. Tried different travel companies in the UK and they will not sell to you unless you book your holiday with them. If you need Valentino's tel number get back to me.
