Kids, snow, playtime !!!

ok so the snow is melting down low but there is good snow on top right ??? can you go up to the top just o play in the snow or is it just for skiing ??? we are taking the kids to play in the snow thats all !!!

I only know Bansko, but it's a fab ride up in gondola, get a single/return trip ticket form gondola station, nice bars/ restaurants and lots of fun to play with snow, maybe take a sledge. Nice treat for kids.

If your going to Bansko you can drive up to top of gondola or maybe cheaper to take taxi than buy lift gondola pass.

we are going to Borovets however we will have our own transport, we are not going for skiing, more for the kids, bit of sledging etc

gondla pass is about 16lev adult and 8 for a child, it is a good rode up. thats for bansko,

How old are the kids?

I'm sure it's been said before on here that young kids (under 7?) get free lift passes. Or is that just if they are in the kindergarten?

Free lift passes if in ski school/kindergarten.

There should be enough snow to toboggan and play in on the lower slopes. Top of gondola not really suitable for children playing. They have snow cannons and the piste basher drag snow down to slope outside Rila. May get a bit slushy by end of day if temperatures are warm.

If you walk out past the Rila and Titanic towards the ski jump, you can always find virgin snow out there.
