Kids skiing at Borovets?

I was just wondering if anyone has any info regarding kids' ski lessons at Borovets? I think it's time our 4.5 year old has a go at skiing but have never really taken much notice of the kids' facilities at Borovets. Does anyone know if they're any good, and how much it costs? Cheers, Colin....

You don't say if you book your trip through a tour company or where you are staying.

Anyway, both Borosports and the Samokov do kids lessons from 4 years old. Last year we booked my 3 year old into the Inghams Snowstar club and he did two hours a day and that was running from the Hotel Mura. They don't seem to be doing that this year so he is booked in with Borosports. He had a great time time last year and I only hope that he enjoys ski school as much this year. I also understand that ...

I also understand that Hunters may do a kids school but you would need to check. Booked through Inghams the Samokov and Borosports are about £100 all in inc food for this season.

Thanks Mark, I have a village house nearby and will be driving up to Borovets. We will only be there for 3 days before we head down to Bansko for a week. We don't do 'tour companies'! I was hoping we could turn up and get the little one some instruction. She may not like it so don't wish to pay for a load of lessons in advance... Very Happy

re: Kids skiing at Borovets?

Hi Colin,

Not been with the kids yet but Hunters have been really, really helpful in preparation for our March trip. If you want pure instruction then see them. If you want more of a "snow garden" deal then they don't have a dedicated creche but use the Rila. This has an all day ski creche for 55 lev, including ski hire, 1 or so hours tuition on the slopes, lunch and other activities.

So... speak to Stefan at Hunters and check out the Rila to get the precise details on what they can ...

re: Kids skiing at Borovets?

there is also a kids fun park for little ones. to join a ski school kids need to be 7 unless you have private or family ski lessons.
a good option is the Rila Hotel as they get 2 hours ski lessons just on the bottom of the nursery slope and time in the fun snow park as well as crats, tv, etc my 2 liked it when they were younger

thanks... the Rila set-up sounds ideal. Do you know how much this costs?

re: Kids skiing at Borovets?

my mate Jims little one was in the Rila ski school this year (only a couple of hours on the snow, the rest in the ski garden)- by the last couple of days he was skiing great down the nursery slope!- go go Charlie!
It was great to watch how they came on so quick! Very Happy

Hi Colin,

As per my message I think the Rila is 55 lev a day but best to check.

Cheers
