Knee support

Gave my knee a pretty bad bash skiing last year, and it still causes me problems sometimes. I'm determined it won't affect my hols though. Can anybody recommend a good knee support that I can wear while skiing?
Any advice appreciated

re: Knee support

Pinto hinged knee brace, I couldn't snowboard without it, very comfy all day, without it I could hardly climb a set of stairs when my knee gives gip (motorbike accident years ago) with it I skateboard and snowboard all day long, evan cycle in it. Just google Pinto, Proline stock them. Very Happy

re: Knee support

week max they start working really quickly, buy the 1000mg and take 2 a day I get them from holland and barret, I started to take them because of knee pain when running and stopped almost straight away.

re: Knee support

I run quiet a lot and everyone I know that uses for running find it works, does come in various strenghths so make sure it is a high strenghth one, not working could be down to the problem, I would def give it a try

re: Knee support

Hi Sam, my girlfriend started getting problems with her knee's after running and they give a lot still even though she doesnt run anymore. she has some glucosomine tablets bt doesnt take them twice a day. seeing as the problems have arisen from running do you expect the problem to be solvable with glucosomine? Her dad gave them to her saying they didnt work but it could just be that he had the wrong problem with his knees.

Lizzi have you been to a Physio? I twisted my Knee skiing about 3 years ago, still get the twinge but oddly not when skiing Confused Anyway the Physio advised me that a knee support would not make any difference to my type of injury.

phil

I still run and before when I did 6 to 10 miles I could hardly walk the next day, on long mileage I still get the odd twinge but they are in general fine, I also take cod liver oil, glucosamine may work but make sure they are at least 1000mg any thing lower and forget it, have found some only have 200mg in waste of time. As I said most people I know who take them for running problems find they work great
