Kostas Appeal in Pamps

Anyone going to Pamps, especially those who would have had Kostas as their instructor in past years, please consider dropping a few Leva in the appeal box's at the ski depot's. Prior to the start of the season, all the instructor's were on a training run and there had been some rain followed by snow. As a result a puddle got covered by the snow which made it impossible to see. Unfortunately, Kostas didn't se it and as a result hit it and he broke his back in two places, which resulted in spinal injuries. He has already had several operations with more to follow. Your support would I'm sure be appreciated.

Tomaski--many thanks for your post--I had posted a few weeks ago regarding this fine man---some will know him as Kotsi---from Momtchilovtsi.....he is making very slow, but positive, progress.

Went to visit Kotsi a week and half ago, making slow progress, now back in Ireland and have arranged a big fund raising nite to help pay his medical bills - a true gentleman.

Sally
Let me know where and when your fundraising nite is taking place in Ireland. We had Kotse last year as our instructor and would like to help.

We had our nite and will hopefully be sending out a couple of thousand pounds to Kotsi soon. (live in Maghera), was heartbreaking to see him unable to move his arms, small movement in his legs. His medical bills will be very very expensive.

Sally
Can you give the address where you are sending the money(or account details) and we will send some also. If it's the same Kotsi we met, then his outlook and determination will ensure a full recovery.

re: Kostas Appeal in Pamps

He feels optimistic (I phone him weekly)---he is led to believe that hopefully by March/April he may be 'well' enough to go to a rehab center to start more intensive therapy. I just hope he starts to see signs of improvement with his arms soon...

It is such as shame as he is normally a big man--he told me he has lost 30kg (was 100kg and well built) since Dec 18!!
