Lapland at Christmas

I don't want to seem disloyal (been to Pamporovo twice), but I was thinking of next Xmas and I want guaranteed snow. Lapland looks OK. Anyone been? Any good?

re: Lapland at Christmas

Where have you been all these years Pete - of course Santa exists!

Not sure even Lapland has guarnteed snow - Friends went 2 seasons ago and saw Rudolf grazing on the grass there was so little of the white stuff.

Remember all the Scandanavian countries are extortinate when it comes to prices. If your going with little ones to see Santa then fine but if this isn't your main reason for going other resorts may be more suitable.

Hope this helps

re: Lapland at Christmas

i know in denmark and sweden it ranges from aroung £5 to £10 a pint depending on where you are, to put it another way the english find french ski resorts expensive the scandanavians down beer like no tomorrow as they think its cheap, to them the prices are like us going to bulgeria, so you may need quiet a lot of money for beer Crying
