First thing this morning I said "I propose ..........." and left it at that. The answer came a little later " I accept whatever it is your proposing ........ ". So that was it - no rings or flowers or hearts or gloves

Gloves If they were rubber gloves you were hoping for - no wonder there was a hesitation. Your reputation is well known
Also I think the lady is supposed to offer the gifts today.

I did offer ...... and being as I didn't get the gloves, it means he is still thinking about it . 
(You must know the tradition - if a girl proposes to a man on 29 Feb and he turns her down he has to buy her a pair of gloves - to hide the fact that he will not be getting her a ring ...there now, didn't you want to know that
