Balkan holidays the tour operator had no connection with the flight from Sofia to Munich (Stuttgart). BH Airlines are a seperate company who Balkan holidays contract to operate some of their charters. If you care to see their website they also operate for a number of other tour operators as well.
On this occassion the FIS chartered the airline directly from BH Airlines.

Mat, please research properly before you mislead people.
I went from Paris to Grenoble only to find Air France had cancelled my flight. So Air France, not a holiday company but an airline, put me on a flight to Lyon and when landed took me off the plane first and wisked me straight to an awaiting taxi to take me to Grenable, i got to Grenoble before my original flight time.
Seems to me that there was a problem with local Stuttgart bus companies and nothing to do with the pilot or balkan air. Bear in mind it was the womens fis downhill and a ...

Flew out of Sofia in 10cm snow - the airport was being cleaned constantly - just as much snow/if not less fell in london - teh whole city stood still..
Many explanations for both but imagine they had crashed landing - BH would be the culprit again - man keeping ppl happy is HARD
The point Mat is making is that BH Air are pretty careless about complying with their legal obligations towards their passengers. Not suprising, really, considering they seem to be a bit of a one-man band. If the managing director (who until two years ago was the director of Varna or Bourgas Airport, I believe, but his bosses, the TIM Group, decided he should go back to flying) flies the planes, I wonder who serves the coffee - no wonder they are ...
Some people never get it, do they?
The point Mat is making is that BH Air are pretty careless about complying with their legal obligations towards their passengers. Not suprising, really, considering they seem to be a bit of a one-man band. If the managing director (who until two years ago was the director of Varna or Bourgas Airport, I believe, but his bosses, the TIM Group, decided he should go back to flying) flies the planes, I wonder who serves the coffee - no wonder they are incapable of making proper alternative arrangements for their passengers. How could anyone compare BH Air, with its four 16-year old planes to an airline like, say, Air France?!!!
I do not know about the "extremely experienced when it comes to ANYTHING to do with flying" posters here, anyone can claim anything on the internet without having to back it up. I can say I fly Air Force One but would anyone believe me?
And all this "any aircraft that is allow to fly and land in UK airspace will be of the highest calibre" smacks of old-age colonial thinking. UK = highest calibre, eh? The rules as to who can fly over and land in Europe, including the UK, are determined internationally, not by the UK.
One last point - I would have thought that someone like Lindsey Vonn has done more flying than all of us posters here put together, so she would know when she comes across a lousy air carrier. And BH Air certainly is one, judging by the trillion posts complaining about it right on this forum!
That happens to be the biggest load of trash I have ever had the misfortune to read.
BH air are not owned by the TIM group, you will discover, if youcan be bothered to investigate that would be Bulgaria air. As 4 the pilot being the former director odbiugas and varna airport! Where on earth did you get that nonsense from?
In actual fact Bh air have many pilots including British!!

I am sure BH Air are not the first airline to mess something up and I am sure they will not be the last. Easyjet didnt exactly handle the last diversion they had to Bucharest very well.
Lindsey won a race, Bansko looked good on TV and it was a good advertisement for Bulgaria.
