Hi Jo,
I've just sent an e-mail to a work friend on this, so I've copied and pasted. My opinions of course, so don't anyone flame me.
Here a list of what you will need to buy:
1.Salopettes fit is important. Should really spend no more than around £40 on your 1st pair.
2.Ski Jacket should be looking to spend around £50 max, they are all very similar in terms of performance (at this level)
3.Good technical socks will set you back around £15 a pair, you need at least 3 pairs (depends how often you intend to change them!). Dont be fooled by cheap socks, they are no good.
4.Gloves are another essential purchase; get at least 200g insulated gloves or better, may set you back around £30-£50.
5.Snood one of those tube things that goes over your head and is used like a scarf, around £5.
6.Ski goggles are not essential, you only need them when its snowing, so I would buy in resort if or when you need them. Expect to pay around £35.
7.Sunglasses an essential item for me.
8.Hat personal choice
9.Thermal base layers around £20 from most clothes shops
Ist timers packing list.....
Hope this helps you...........
