re: Long weekend ski help

Hi Jim,
I do this several times a year so can help you out. Where are you travelling from? If you're near London then there are some fantastic flight times to Sofia - I leave after work on Weds, come back Sunday night. 2 days off work and 4 days skiing! o/
I can often do a 3 day weekend to Bansko for less than £200 including ski pass and hire, but that's booking flights as soon as they're released. £250 - £300 would be realistic now.

Budget airlines + booking your own apt + Bulgarian prices means you can do a trip very cheaply. You're a bit late for the cheapest flights but still not bad - booked one on Sat for the end of Jan for £100 rtn.
Geneva is also an option for weekends to the alps - plenty of cheap flights, but you pay Alps prices for accom and everything else.
Wizz Air and Easyjet, and now Ryanair (to Plovdiv I think?) are your friends. Send me a pm (click name above) if you need any more info.
Matt

Hi Jim,

We've booked 2 long weekends this year.
Last week booked flights on easyjet from Manchester to Geneva in Jan for about £80 return, transfers to Chamonix £100, then got a really nice but basic hotel in town for £50 a night per person. Go on a Wednesday return on Sunday.

Then in March got flights Manchester to Sofia again with Easyjet for £140, Thusday to Monday. Transfer again about £100 but split between 4. We're going to Boro and because its a girls hol we went for a nicer 4* ...

We're going to Boro and because its a girls hol we went for a nicer 4* hotel which is again £50 per person per night, but you can get accommodation a lot cheaper if you don't want to pay as much.

We buy our lift passes for each day in the morning, sometimes you can get a cheap weekend deal.

If you want to know sites i use to book accommodation let me know

Amanda
