Just wondered what it was like in Bankso now, snow wise and people. Excited and can't wait!!where's a recommended place for a nice bulgarian meal out?

Very busy, loads of people.... snow still good
Meal wise, try the Bariacova, near to the main church... the only down side is the local musicians... bloody row !!! tell them your eating, or give them 20lv to sod off

I agree completely Steve... we were harrassed by them too ... it was quite funny really, they were very talented, they bugged us for 20 mins then decided we weren't going to give them anything and moved on... when we got up to leave we did give them a tip which they would have got anyway as they were very good... however we were not going to give them it when they were 'in our face'

Thanks Guys!! maybe i could just offer to play instead!! that'll soon send them away(I teach the guitar to 28 7-9 year olds!!lolwill try there!!

What a difference a week makes. We didnt queue once at the gondola last week. The longest queue on the slopes was Friday at the short lift from the gondola to run 7-8, and this was just after lunch. I think there were 20 people in front of us, which took about two minutes to clear!!!re: Lucky people alreadly in Bankso

Simon, personally I dont think there is a need for a second gondola.It would surely make more sense to start each ski school lesson at different times, open the gondola earlier, and make the gondola cars travel at a slightly faster speed.
More people would be on the mountain, using the one gondola.
As I said above, we had no ques last week. It would be gas if we had to chose which gondola to use last week and they both empty!!!
