We're also there from the 5th. Looks ok on Balkan website. Also do a search for malina in subject line. Other threads say it's basic and warm. More worried about the 'alleged' 3.5km away from the resort!

Hi, been to both, Yagoda has the upper hand for me.. Malina OK, warm (bloody hot actaully) and nice location. Self catering basic, but you only sleep there, get up and go out. Its a long walk to town about 1 mile, but cabs always there are 10 lves, (£3 ish ) altthough there is an hourly ski bus. Bit of a problem going back to the room , have a shower and then go back to town again, but at £3 a time whats the problem !!. Try the bar i the Malina village, must be the smallest in the world, ...

Be sure to use the safes in reception.
