I know that I will be there to enjoy it and hope that there will be others to share the many pleasures of ski-ing perfect lines in perfect weather!
Statistically speaking, mid to late Feb is generally quite good. Obviously, some years are better than others but if you had to choose a time to go when the chance of getting some half decent ski-able conditions then mid to late Feb would probably be it. Again, that is based on statistics.
A combination of taking into account what the good mountain weather forecast websites are predicting and many years spent mountaineering in the mountains. Mountains have their own little micro climate that tend to follow certain patterns. However, if by some act of God the weather fronts that are currently moving across the Atlantic and Arctic decide to do something stupid like change direction then all of this will change (but that won't happen - better not!!)
I'm sure you will be enjoying some perfect ski conditions. However, we humans can never be certain of exactly what the elements are going to throw at us. Especially when it comes to something as complex like the snow pack.
