i dont know, terrible country with big buisness (mafia) paying bribes to win orders, cant think where ive heard that before, oh yes BAE of course not every things rosy, but lets be honest, its not here either, poor medical services poor education.....all seems familiar, and mikey whilst the actual facilities in education in BG may be a lot poorer than here, the actual 'system' and results rank higher than the UK, so yes i agree, a balanced view would be nice, we dont seem to get that either way
and as to 'Pamp' bear in mind a lot of people have bought places for their own use, not everyones after a quick buck!!
A few positives.... the snow for most of the season was great, the temp and weather in the summers a lot better than here, it dont (sic) cost 1.15 for a litre of diesel, the tax rate doesnt start at 20%, Foods a lot cheaper, drinks a lot cheaper, foods a lot fresher and meats not drugged up to the eyeballs, the family is still very important and people, generally, are polite and helpful, ok sometimes they chat a bit too much, but all in all, as a society im prefering BG to whats happening in the UK, so yes please, lets have a BALANCED view, nowheres perfect!

BTW I am still chasing that woman who had your ski boots but I am not sure I am going to get anywhere. Perhaps I should give you her details and you could tell her "what time it is etc etc" if you get my drift.

Fraser do you want some real facts and links to clear the matter ? System was what you are saying until end of the 1980's
since then is constantly decaying, going down year on year. Average results and surveys show somewhat very different picture at present.

and this is only about the education.

If we start looking into other areas of BG life which you are very confident are alot cheaper we will find actually different figures but there is no point.

Balance view is the colective view from a free forum where there are not only positive comments but and negative ones all staying there without deleting correcting smoothing etc. so people can read, do research and form their own opinion which is going to be more beneficial.
I agree with you as you say ''--a balanced view would be nice, we dont seem to get that either way ''--strange you seem to be in BG for long periods and still only surfacing on top , regarding the very real Bulgaria.
