re: Medical care

Went to Boro last year and my mate dislocated his shoulder/coller bone on the last day, he spent a long time at the medical centre trying to have it manipulated back into place unfortunatley they made such a mess of him that he ended up having surgery when we got home and is now the proud owner of a couple of steel pins and a plate, so be very carefull. Opt for the local hospital and not the the resort medical centre, ime sure they are much better quallified.

re: Medical care

Doitman - lol. The old ones are the best (that's why we go out with them).
Pete - Is that as serious as it sounds? Glad they sorted you out.
Dave - that was good. Hope your daughter made a fast recovery. The NHS could maybe learn something fro Vratza Hospital
Joe - that was not so good. Sounds a painful experience. I hope it doesn't impede your friends future skiing.

re: Medical care

Ditto Don,

This started off as a serious question, but it went quite well didn't it?

Is this a common experience for you Pete, and how serious is it?

Regards,

N.

re: Medical care

It's happened to me just twice in the 36 years that I've been diabetic. It was Pancreatitis which is a swelling of the Pancreas and not very pleasant. If untreated it could be fatal. I was working out the other day just how many jabs I've done now. 4 times a day for 36 years = over 52,000 Surprised More perferations than a Tetley Tea Bag Wink

Ouch - there goes another one Surprised

re: Medical care

Bloody hell Pete, I don't know what to say.

If it's any consolation you're not the only one to have the odd jab. I had two on Monday - one for flu and one for swine flu. That's enough for me.

Does it affect your beer capacity? Booze

re: Medical care

Nice one Don,
I was trying to say something like that myself but couldn't find the words.
