Has anybody experienced Bulgarian Hospital care?
Is English widely, and fluently, spoken by the doctors / hospital staff?
When I visited Borovets some years ago English was well spoken in the resort but from my experience as soon as we went elsewhere i.e. Samakov Village and Sofia, communication was more difficult.
What I am wondering is whether hospitals are readily accessible, is the care known to be good, and is English clearly understood and spoken.
I would like to ski Bulgaria ...

I went to borovets last year and on the first day some out of control pleb smashed into me and broke my collar bone in 3places, the medical care i recieved was ok but i had to have it corrected when i got home, and the could all talk rather good english. Not perfect but they could understand and communicate enuf. It would not put me off going back at all.
Spent 10 days in the Medical Centre in Sunny Beach when my diabetes went wrong. My drip was from a sawn off Diet Coke bottle and when the nurse took my blood she sucked it off my finger with a straw and blew it into a tube! when she needed a urine sample she would say Mr. I need your piss!
Sorted me out in the end but it was a bit concerning to say the least. No food either.
I spent 3 days in a bulgarian hospital and everything was fine until i woke up on the last day in extreme pain, with the Doctor shouting at the nurse------ 'You idiot, I told you to PRICK his BOIL......................
