Just came off the phone to Steve and still can't quite believe what I heard.
The English Pub, The White Hart has GONE!!!!!!!!!
It has been demolished to make way for a new ski depot to assist people in the resort. Whether it will be finished by season start is still uncertain.
The outdoor swimming pool has gone too, to make way for a bus depot.
The rumours of 2 more lifts and 2 new runs are false.
This may happen in years to come, but not this year.

Steve ploughed a lot of money into building up the White Hart and was in the middle of a contract that now has proved to be worthless.
There is a lot of political involvement in Pamporovo at present. The resort owners who also own the Perelik have started to build another huge hotel, but this will not be ready for 2005.
Oh the times they are a changing.
Will tell you more as I get to hear of it.

this is a wind up! can you imagine everyone trying to cram into b j's.why have a ski depot in resort when you still have to get on the bus to get to the slopes-utter madness.i hope they dont spoil the resort in their search for making money.

If this is true, then its a shame. Where else can you eat dinner? er and breakfast!!! etc. The white was the best bar in the resort.

Not sure Pete would joke about something as important to him as this.You must feel very sad for Steve if this is the case as he has obviously worked very hard to build a reputation which many of you go back to year in, year out.

No, those who know me, also know I would not joke about something like this.
The logistics of it are completely mad, as it appears nearly everyone would need to take their skis back to the centre every day which would mean utter chaos on the busses.
I could possibly see the point if the Gondela was in place to the centre, but that is still a pipe-dream.
Steve is pretty gutted. He told me today that he has had just about enough of being pushed around and let down.
He will still have ...

Unreal Huh!!Though we are not going back to Pamps this year (will do again though) seems stange that last Feb will be the last time in the White Hart.....
