Hornster I have been skiing in Europe for 24 years I am 27. My family come from the Austrian Alpine regions. I have seen the slopes be invaded by ***** who think they invented skiing, who think they of a better class because they ski. None of you (at a guess) really appreciate the beauty and culture of mountain enviroments. Also Whislter is all that is made out to be. It is year on year voted THE BEST skiing resort in the world.re: Message to Hornster

No I think I will leave this up Mark,as I think Hornster deserves the chance to reply as do many of the other posters who in Mr Doom's esteemed wisdom do not appreciate the beuty of the mountains.I will add that personal attacks on any poster's on here will not be tolerated.

Im am not a wind up merchant I am merley a teller of the truth. Could you aso refrain from using so many commars, it isn't at all necessary.I only said in my original post that the season is not shaping up well. This no reason to be attacked in such a vicious manner.

The manner in which most brits behave whilst in the mountains does not lead me to the conclusion that they appreciate the surroundings they are lucky enough to be in.
That is why the best resorts in the alps are mostly british free. They only go where the night life is good, there are other brits and they can boast to their friends which resort they were in. Thankfully my secret hideaways shun such behaviour and they also offer some of the best and largest ski areas in Europe ...

I quite agree with your comments re the oh so wonderful behaviour of a large majority of "Brits abroad" I personaly think that majority of such idiots should be shot, but I don't think we are going to go down that path are we?
As for being attacked in "such a vicious manner" well I think you got of quite lightly you should read some of the abuse I get!! When you come on here and make such grand statemants and with a user name of Doom surely you do not expect to be greeted with ...

You have been asked to post evidence of said poor winter next year and as of yet you have not done so. Now I am not a weather expert indeed not much of an expert on anything,Hornster and Benson on here know far more on that subject than I. But as I said would these people you are claiming that are warning of worse conditions than last winter be the same forcasters who were predicting a record hot summer this year? Because if they are I am strapping my ski's on in October!!!

Well I can't reveal my sources.....yet, but be sure I will do. The snow moves seasonly around the world, it has predominantly been on the pacific rim for the last season or two......I predcit it will be another 4 years before Europe gets subsantial snow again.and doom is an acronym for, Delegation Of the Ostentatious Mankind

I did start writing a rather detailed response to your remarks but, instead, have decided to write only what you really are all about and that is:
a) incredibly disillusioned
b) obviously got a chip on your shoulder. Perhaps because a British skier/boarder showed you up in your own "secret" ski resort??
c) As for my presumed lack of passion for the mountain environment...I have not only been an active and very passionate skier for some years now but have also, as an equally ...

I havent been skiing that long which is a shame really. My 1st time was in Pamps last year, (thats 1 commar)going to Bansko in 2008 with 3 kids and I love pitting my wits against a mountain and you can lose yourself for a while whilst skiing.
As US BRITS behave bad and should be shot why is it that the DOOM is the only halfwit swearing and acting like my 6 year old?
Im also an unhappy bunny as you told us the acronymfor DOOM,(shit thats 2 commars) Im sure we would have worked it ...

I do favour certain Austrian resorts however as they are still working communities and not tourist slaves for the Raj of the slopes. I am upset that the gem of a resort that is bansko has been ruined, and it is doubtful it will ever recover a crying shame.
