'Onmybumski'! And everyone!!!!!
If you go to a country on holiday it is only polite to find out about the local customs and traditions. Wouldnt you agree? After all you are a visitor! It takes 10 mins on the internet, a shorter time than it has taken everyone to post these silly arguments. Of which it seems you have not 'Onmybumski' or you would realise that in Bulgaria when you give a waiter the money for the bill and say 'thank you' it means KEEP THE CHANGE AS YOUR TIP! It then becomes very upsetting for all concerned with the confusion and i can understand that from your point of view, however this is hardly the waiters fault either, after all you are in his/hers country.

As for the chipboard if you choose to go in that restaurant then thats upto you!? If you were in a group up the mountain then fine. But not all resorts or restaurants are like that.

Skis being stolen! Mine were stolen in France. If this was not a regular thing all over the world then why does every good ski insurance cover it?

Tips for the instructors! They earn around 100 pounds a month, below the normal wage for this country. When i have had great instruction i really dont mind reaching in my pocket for 10 pound. And on the other side if I have not then i wont give a tip. Im sure you werent physically forced to!

Can we please get this board back to normal now and stop the sillyness. I have seen some really personal attacks from both points of view which arnt even about the subject, and Pete has to keep editing them.

Come on guys the snow is nearly hear im excited!

Julia,
Hold on! my point was defending the waiters, pointing out that the resturants in Switzerland were over priced, and that he should tip the Instructors for good service as you would a waiter for good service.
The chipboard bit was a sarcastic response to his put down of Bulgarian resturants!!!
I agree The whole James thing is boring Now!

Not possible to use a online translator for bulgarian language, to complex.

And Julia open your eyes a bit more about bulgaria a ski instructor who earns 100 pounds a month is rich, for bulgarian standart. Nearly every one who can work with tourist has it much easier than these people who life in the country side in bulgaria. In any small village the name you'll never heard before and never will read, because than it was written on any road sign it was written cyrillic.
