After wandering around this discussion board for a while now and reading some of the topics that have been posted I have one point to make.

The majority of people on this site seem to be far too nervous to head off to a ski resort.... I'll say it again.... A SKI RESORT..... not the frickin' Sahara.............without finding out every small detail about the hotels, slopes, food, money, weather, people, language, depth of snow, toilet facilities, bars, nightlife, commuting, wind speed, migration of the lesser spotted bull frog....
I mean.... come on people.... you've booked the holiday.... your heading off soon....... leave something to the imagination...... believe me you won't regret it.
I know as I've just got back from Borovets and I'm glad I left it well alone to discover for myself...... and I love the place so much I'm going back next year
1.I wouldn't say nervous exactly, more an aid to packing. Like last year I asked if there was a kettle in a particular hotel and if the resort had ATMs ... the answers were no and yes, so packed accordingly!
2. It's human nature after all. If I heard "I was at such and such a film last night" my first response would be "Any good?" or "Oh, what was it like?"
3. Everything is subjective, so I don't think I have denyed myself any pleasure by knowing what someone else thought about a ...

3. Everything is subjective, so I don't think I have denyed myself any pleasure by knowing what someone else thought about a pub or hotel or a whole ski resort I might go to. I'm big and hairy enough to make up my own mind ... but not grown up enough not to get excited when I read about them and think 23 days, 7 hours, 18 minutes till I go!!
Get a grip teddy boy- we dont have time to discover where the birdz hang out- wotz best for eating and where- we want to know in advance so we can make the most of it-not mess about trying to find stuff when helpfull folk can inform us before heading out.In return we advise when we get back of our experiences- im justback and if it wasnt for the good people of here id have wasted precious minutes thinking! instead of boozing and wiping my hairy ass with nice quilted andrex brought from home. ...

Bit of a sad posting on your part me thinks!
I think that this 'site' is brilliant! It is not only informative but great fun also and a godsend to first timers like me that have kids in tow, and will surly save me a lot of time, hassel and potential mistakes when me and all the other like minded folks that i have met on this board, get to the resorts, so that WE can be in a better position to enjoy the snow and apres etc
Glad your not going to Pamps
