Money AGAIN!!

Sorry guys,I know this has been asked a million times before, but I'm just checking!! What is the best thing to do - 1. Take English pounds and use 2. Take English and exchange to Levs 3. Take Levs???

ChixOn the 15th I will be taking GBP and converting to LEV in resort. I have a few Lev and USD left from last year so will take this too

Dont change in the money booths or hotels you will get ripped off. Change at one of the proper banks in the resort. I usually use Biochim on the road going up the hill.Enjoy yourself, I always never fail to in Borovets

Cheers Yorkshire Terriers (yorkshire lassie meself!) and Steve, will change to levs in the banks over there then!! I'm not too sure what to expect from this holiday to be honest, but looking forward to it anyway!

I'm taking levs. got them from the post office. exchange rate was 2.70 levs to the pound. I'll be out there on the 15th. where you flying from, my first time to bulgaria as well!!!!!re: Money AGAIN!!
ChixYou will have a great time in Bulgaria. One Tyke to another, trust me when I say you will love it.
You will wonder what you have been missing for years and want to return without doubt next year.
Just remember to fly the white rose when you go

Perhaps you could elaborate on which hotels you believe 'rip people off' !!!!!!
These hotels are run by professional people who make guests welcome from all over the world, and to blatently accuse hotels of this crime is a grave injustice and insult to their hospitality.
I have ALWAYS changed my Sterling in hotels in Bulgaria, and in over 20 visits I have NEVER been ripped off.
Money booths are run by less favourable individuals who will extort money by offering bogus exchange rates ...
