I counted five last year but never saw one working

20 spread across a 1.5km track, so it's not going to make any difference to the majority of runs.

Bear in mind snow making machines can only operate at temps between -3 and -10.Any warmer and the droplets will not freeze, and colder and the droplets will simply form as ice.
