Mourgavets Hotel

Hi, I'm one of a group of 18 coming to Bulgaria for Xmas 2008. Never been skiing before, so don't know what to expect. Can anyone tell me how warm is it in Mourgavets Hotel, as none of us know what sort of clothes to take for the evenings. Any other tips would be really welcome too. Our ages range from 11 to 53! Thanks
Sandra

Mourgavets is an excellent choice and located right in the heart of the resort. You can travel between your hotel and the Perelik without the need to step outside as it is linked by a covered shopping mall. Arcades, Bowling Alley, Swimming Pools and several bars can all be accessed without the need to venture outside. Other popular places such as the White Hart are just accross the road so the time spent outside is very minimal. Take a fleece for when you do venture out but most of the time ...

It was once - but has now been surpassed by the Orlovetz. I would also rate Spiders on the mountain as an excellent hotel. I must say that after staying at the Mourgavets for 7 consecutive holidays I was disappointed with it on my last stay. Food was not as good as previous years and certain parts of the hotel have begun to look extremely dated compared to the newer ones.

Still a great place to stay - but certainly not the best anymore.

best hotel has gotta be the Grand Monastery at Studenets... talk about luxury, it has everything from a swimming pool, sauna to bowling alley and nightclub and its ski in/out.

Can only echo what others have said very good hotel. On the heat front I have always found the rooms too hot and always turn the rads off and have even slept with the window open!

Clothing wise take what you feel comfatable with as has been mentioned you do not have to go outside of this hotel.

If you can try the BBq place in the basement much better food than you get half board. Also try the cafe on the top floor for great views and desserts.

re: Mourgavets Hotel

The GM has the best of both worlds... SC apartment with the facilities of a 4/5* hotel.
Yes, I have got a place there but regardless, it's a fantastic hotel.
