Pete I see no reason why you feel the need to justify yourself. It is clear that you are being transparent with reference to the funds in which you have collected. You have given so much of your time and efforts and you continue to do so. As Andie stated we are more than happy for you to be fully involved.

There will always be those whom will criticise others for doing something for no personal gain, this is usually the people that have never done a good deed without personal gain, therefore I can understand how they would have been of such a mind set.

I have been guilty of self gratification with helping these children, but I do believe that the good that we do over compensates for this.

Carole, Andie and yourself are good people doing what you are doing for all the right reasons, with complete transparency and one day we will all rejoice in the fact that there will be an efficient working heating system in place.

take no notice of him, we dont, if any of us thought that we would not have sent the money in the first place, you could set up an account for fundraising. Make sure the cheques ar cashed in the time required, the other thing I would point out about cheques, if people have donated that month they may have put it their budget if you dont cash it, one the money may not be there, two it could throw there whole budget out the following month, just thinking when I was a student thats all if I had sent you a cheque you would have had to have cashed it straight away or otherwise the money would have gone.

I've gone out of may way ,as have others on here to raise money for these lovely kids in BG and if anybody on here wants to have a wee look at how ,where or with whom i raised it with then they are welcome,but i would draw the line at the likes of mister penis head...
