Does anyone know if access to this run is open and plus any advice on best runs for intermediate skier who is a first time visitor to Borovets although i am traveling with a seasoned veteran ,

According to the websites which show the runs open, and viewing the webcams, the Mussala Pathway is not open at the moment. It would seem that there are not too many runs open in Borovets right now, particularly the Markudjik runs at the top of the gondola and on the Rila side.

It's not open now, which is a pity because it is a really good run, 10 kilometers if you start from the gondola.
Below is the link to which runs are open, it is updated daily.
we didn't do that run last year so hopefully by the time we get to see you, there will be plenty of snow and you can show me this run, sounds about my stamp lol!!!

John, this run is deceptive, just a little green and blue you think, but it can be really fast with some fantastic corners. You need to do it when it is empty, it gets busy with people going down at luch time and at the end of the day, the best time can be go up early on the gondola and then ...

Thanks for the heads up re the masala i have heard differing reports about it but i look forward to skiing it and the idea of the fast corners sounds like my kind of thing i like to test myself
Main plan for the week is to ski the Yesterbric (hope i spelt that right) side of the mountain i hear the runs there are good
